Slow Balboa Workshop
Mon 12th and 19th  | Rising Sun Arts Centre | 8.30-10pm | £5

Slow Balboa, as the name suggests, is danced to slower music and is smooth, rhythmic and generally a swooshy gooey ball of movement joy. It kind of feels like Balboa and Lindy Hop by using the same vocabulary and so compliments them beautifully, but at the same time is a completely different dance and we’re excited to get the chance to learn these in Reading.
Brought to you by Balboa Mondays, these are two stand alone, but related workshops so you can dip in to either or build by going to both and is suitable for beginners and experienced dancers alike.

One of the best regular night in reading. If you are curious to see the swing dances in action this is a great night to come along and watch in this laid back and chilled cafe setting.
A great live band with a hard core of musicians that are usually  joined by different semi-regular members each gig, makes every time they play a fresh experience and lucky dip of musical delight. Their music ranges from 1920s to the 1940s so suitable for wider swing family of Charleston, Lindy Hop and Balboa.
Room is always made for a dance floor and a great place to enjoy some food before the music starts.
This event is free, but please thank the band by making a donation into the hat that goes around at half time.
